As a science writer and photographer, my goal is to capture the curiosity the natural world inspires with a sketchbook, a camera and a laptop. I love uncovering new stories in old museum collections and highlighting the conservation of overlooked species.

About Jack

Jack recently graduated from the University of Southern California where he studied Environmental Studies and English and is pursuing a Masters in Science Writing at Johns Hopkins University. His work has appeared in National Geographic, Scientific American, The Atlantic, Hakai Magazine, Atlas Obscura, and Smithsonian Magazine, among others.

Always fascinated with fossils, reptiles, animals and drawing these things, Jack tries to discover all he can through his adventures. Much to the chagrin of his family and friends, there isn’t a natural history museum, zoo, aquarium, wildlife sanctuary or national park that Jack can pass up visiting when in the area.
